Zelle is a popular peer-to-peer payment service that enables individuals (and even businesses) to send and receive money securely.
With Zelle, users can initiate transfers directly from their bank accounts, making it a convenient way to transfer funds to trusted individuals quickly.
However, not all banks support a direct Zelle integration at this time.
Thankfully, there is a workaround for this using the separate Zelle app.
Recent Changes to Zelle
As of April 1, 2025, Zelle has discontinued its standalone app. This decision was made because the vast majority of users - over 98% - were already accessing Zelle through their bank or credit union's mobile apps or online banking platforms. The standalone app accounted for less than 2% of total transactions.
Does Albert Work With Zelle?
Unfortunately, Albert does not support Zelle. Since Albert is not among the over 2,200 banks and credit unions that offer Zelle integration, users cannot send or receive money via Zelle through Albert's services.
Alternatives for Albert Users
If you're using Albert and need to send or receive money, consider the following alternatives:
Venmo: A widely used peer-to-peer payment platform that allows users to send and receive money easily.
PayPal: Offers secure transactions and is accepted by many merchants and individuals.
Cash App: Enables users to send, spend, and invest money, with additional features like a debit card.
Apple Pay and Google Pay: Mobile payment services that allow for quick and secure transactions.
Each of these platforms has its own set of features and requirements, so it's advisable to choose one that best fits your financial needs and preferences.
